Wow, one week ago I came to the business for 30 minutes.  Today, I’m putting in a full day (as I have been doing since Monday…)  Every day, I can see a little bit better than the previous day.

At the beginning of the week, I didn’t feel anywhere close to 100% and my vision was still worse than before the surgery.  By Wednesday, I began feeling better physically and I was able to read things on the computer without straining for a little while.  On Thursday, with some help from Ken, I was able to modify an ad for the Daily Times.  I was very excited.  Ken had to help me with the menus in Adobe Illustrator, which I couldn’t see.  When I got home from work on Thursday, I still had trouble seeing my computer at home.  I’m not sure if it is because my eye was tired or it is because it is a Dell running Windows.  At the biz, I use an iMac (which I absolutely love!)

Yesterday, I was cruising along most of the day looking for images of Clairol color swatch image for our ecommerce site ForYourSalon.com.  In the early afternoon, it started to feel like something was in my eye.  I took longer breaks away from the computer.  We had an incident at 2:30 that made me, uh, a little angry (some here might say really, really, angry;) that didn’t help either.  I spent some time on the Oakworks salon bed with my eyes closed for 20 to 30 minutes.  That seemed to have helped.  I was able to spend more time on my computer at home, but it still wasn’t as sharp as the iMac.

Today has been the best yet!  I was able to clean up my first post all by myself!  My wife and I tried at home last weekend, but since I don’t WordPress like the back of my hand yet I couldn’t tell her how to edit the post.  I’ve been online looking at different beauty domains and online beauty stores.  ForYourSalon.com will be geared primarily to salons.  Once that launches, we would like to develop aimed at consumers looking for beauty products.  Tonight, the kids are going to see The Day the Earth Stood Still.  I’d like to see it, but my vision isn’t good enough to go yet.  I could go, but I be asking Eliz every 30 seconds, “What’s that a picture of?” or “What going on now?”  So, we’ll have dinner at Mexican Post across the street from the movies.  After that, we’ll visit my parents.  Even though we see them once a week, I’d like to see them more…
