In this episode of the iCantCU Podcast, I talk about my lack of confidence to do a reading at a Memorial Day service at the cemetery where my parents are buried that will honor my Dad, a World War Two veteran. I will speak briefly, but Jane will do the reading. I also talk about an embarrassing typo on someone’s name that I’ve been doing for years!
A Chance To Practice Reading In Front Of A Live Audience
I’ve been practicing reading a children’s book aloud by listening to it in hopes of one day doing voiceovers for TV or radio, audiobook narration, or descriptive audio tracks for movies or TV. Listening is the only way for me since I don’t read braille. When given a chance to do a reading at a service honoring my Dad on Memorial Day, I declined and passed it off to my daughter. I was not ready to do it, especially live in front of an audience.
