In this episode of the iCantCU Podcast, I talk about how a simple task of updating my voicemail greeting on my iPhone took a lot longer than it should have, thanks in part to VoiceOver. I also have an update in the ongoing saga of ordering a talking bathroom scale from the Independence Market.

Changing iPhone Voicemail Greeting

It should be easy, right? When I first recorded my greeting, I had VoiceOver turned on, so the first thing you heard in the greeting was my iPhone saying “stop.” Then you heard the greeting in my voice and then my iPhone saying “stop” at the end. That’s not what I wanted callers to hear, so I shut off VoiceOver. And that’s when the real fun began.

That Real Blind Tech Show

As I mentioned in this episode, I really enjoy listening to this podcast. Most episodes remind me of a morning radio show with the movie and tv show clips that are played for added humor. There are tons of great tech tips, too. Listen: https://thatrealblindtechshow.libsyn.com/
