It was nice to get out to two different events on the weekend. We took in a youth baseball game on a lovely evening, weather-wise. The night before, Eliz and I went to downtown Swarthmore for a food truck event with just about every food you could want.

Is There A Hands-free White Cane?

Both events required some juggling, though. At the food truck event, it was physical. We bought food from three different trucks and were planning to take it all home to eat. When I realized we were short a couple of hands, I ate some while waiting for other food. It didn’t help that I needed a free hand to use my white cane.

Real-time Play-by-play For Youth Baseball

At the baseball game, the juggling was mental. I wanted to talk with my friend whose son was playing, but I also wanted to try to pay attention to the game. You watch the game and listen to the conversation when you are sighted. When you are blind, you have to listen to both at the same time.

Both events were fun. We made it home from the food trucks without dropping or spilling anything.

In Episode 198

In this episode of iCantCU, I talk about going to a baseball game and how I juggle paying attention to the game while also trying to be social. I also talk about a food truck event in Swarthmore Eliz and I went to that had so many choices, but we needed more hands. There is also a Ziggy story that could have involved the police, too.
